The sophomore Democrat, who represents Colorado's 2nd Congressional District, received praise from both sides of the aisle last week for his poised performance as an impeachment manger in the trial against former President Donald Trump. Despite the fact that the Senate didn't convict Trump for his role in inciting an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol last month, Neguse said he and the other eight House impeachment managers "did their job." Frozen pipes. As Denver thawed out from record-low temperatures over the weekend, including one reading of minus-16 degrees, frozen pipes burst throughout the city, sending water gushing throughout area homes and businesses. At one point yesterday afternoon, the Denver Fire Department even had as many as three crews responding to such situations. (Denver Post)
Diamond Peaks Ski Patrol. The group of volunteers is one of the only ski patrol teams in the country that works in backcountry terrain. And those efforts, which include monitoring avalanche conditions and responding to skiers that get lost near Cameron Pass, seems ever more important given the number of deadly avalanche slides that have taken place this ski season.
